Info from Richard Johnson

Hi Class Representatives / Group Leaders
Just to let you know that the Notice of Race and Entry Forms are now published for the RYA Sailability Multi Class Regatta, which takes place at Rutland Sailing Club from Friday 8th to Sunday 10th August. You can find the documents on the websites shown below or, if you need a copy posting, please send your address details as a reply to this email. We have had interest from from Access, Challenger, 2.4mR, Martin 16, SKUD and Squib fleets and we are hoping to top the record entry of 53 boats in 2007.

Rutland Sailing Club:- www.rutlandsc.co.uk Click on "Open Events" on the main menue, then scroll down the list and click on "Sailability Multi Class Regatta". At the bottom of the page you can download pdf files containing the Notice of Race and Entry Forms.

RYA Sailability:- www.rya.org.uk/aboutrya Click on "RYA Sailability" on the menue and scroll down to "Features". Click on the box showing "RYA Sailability Multi Class Regatta 2008" and, at the top of the page, click on "Notice of Race" and "Entry Forms"

The event will have a similar format to last year, with fleet racing on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th August, followed by a pursuit race for all the fleets on Sunday morning. There are some refinements this year, such as a plan of the pursuit race course in the sailing instructions, but the entry fee is still only £5 per person, payable at registration. There will be a goody bag full of surprises for each competitor when they register and the Saturday evening sponsored Regatta dinner and cabaret will be even better than before.
All of this is thanks to some great sponsorship arranged by RYA Sailability so, if you know anyone who isn't on the list, can you pass this message on, as entry forms must be sent to Rutland Sailing Club by 27th July.
Best Wishes
Richard Johnson. Regatta Organiser

The above link will take you to the final version of the Multi Class Sailing Instructions that will be published on the websites of RYA Sailability and Rutland Sailing Club
Please note - the warning flag for the 2.4mR has been changed to "D".
Pursuit Race instructions include a requirement for each boat to note the numbers of those in front and behind at the finish (the Race Office will record the numbers from them)
The Access PY numbers are different to those on the Notice of Race, as they have been altered for 2008 by the Class Association. The timings given in the Sailing Instructions reflect this.
The Pursuit Race starting instructions only specify flag P to be lowered at each of the 8 starts but there will also be a warning board on the back of the committee boat showing the next class to start. John Fothergill will have a megaphone and will give verbal warnings from the committee boat and we may have a back-up system on the shore to make sure the fleets get away on time.

Access - Ron : Can you circulate the documents to your members
