We have a great programme lined up with keynote speakers from the RYA, other industry experts, and interactive workshops. Our Annual Dinner will be taking place in the early evening including the RYA Sailability Volunteer Awards and your chance to win a grant of up to £250 to use at your club/association. We are also pleased to announce that there will be two great boats on display. The new Stradivari 2.4m keelboat and the Olympic Skud 18 class boat. 

To reserve your space at the conference and annual dinner, and to express which workshops you would be interested in attending,  please complete the attached booking form and return it to Lorna Conder by Tuesday 11th January 2011 at the latest, along with your dietary and any additional requirements.

Volunteer Awards:-
Please find attached information on the 2011 RYA Sailability Volunteer Awards.  I would like to ask you to let me know if you wish to nominate someone you work with , or know to be considered for a Volunteer Award.  All information on the awards and a nomination forms can be found in the attached documents.
You have all committed enthusiastic volunteers and this is your opportunity to demonstrate your appreciation.

Accommodation:-
For those of you that would like to book accommodation at the venue, rates are available at a discounted price of £60 inc of Vat B&B single occupancy per room per night, and £70 inc of Vat B&B double or twin occupancy per room per night. To book accommodation please contact the hotel directly on 0845 2300 666 and quote reference number 39207 (which will refer you to the RYA Sailability Conference booking rate).  All rooms are on site and linked via a corridor to the main conference lounge and meeting rooms and offer full disabled access.  Participants booking overnight accommodation on site can also use the on site leisure facilities which include a spa, gym, swimming pool, Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna.  All accommodation must be paid for at your own expense.  Nearby hotels are the Travelodge and the Premier Inn.

Dear all, Following my earlier email inviting you to attend the 2011 RYA Sailability National Conference, I have great pleasure in announcing that Sarah Outen will be our guest speaker at the National Conference Dinner on the evening of the 12th February 2011.

Sarah Outen

In 2009 Sarah Outen became the youngest person to solo any ocean in the world by rowing across the Indian Ocean.


In memory of her Dad, Sarah rowed 4000 miles from Australia to Mauritius in her boat rowing for 124 days, 14 hours and 9 minutes, raising over £30,000. 

With three Guinness World Records under her belt Sarah is about to embark on her next challenge, London2London – Via the World!  In April 2011 Sarah will leave Tower Bridge in London and spend 2.5 years rowing, cycling and kayaking around the world and she aims to share her 20,000 mile experience with classrooms, offices and homes around the world.
