This page gives all the information needed to enter, take part and follow All race training events organised by ACA(UK) for the Access 2.3, 303 and Liberty.

Access class race training at New Forrest Sailability

The three training events are open to visitors.

Friday 29 January - ashore  Times = 10am to 4 pm

Friday 26 February - ashore Times = 10am to 4 pm

Friday 2 April (Good Friday) on the water Times = on water by 10am finish 4 pm

Access class race training at Frensham Pond

Frensham Pond Sailability in conjunction with RYA Sailability Development Coach, Matt Grier will be running Access Class race training at Frensham Pond on three Thursdays in March 2010.

The three training events are open to visitors.

Access 2.3 class race training at Colne Valley, Rickmansworth

Colne Valley Special Sailors in conjunction with RYA Sailability Development Coach, Matt Grier will be running Access Class race training at the Aquadrome, Rickmansworth, on two Tuesdays in March 2010.

The two training events are open to Access 2.3 visitors.

Access class race training at Tideway Sailability, Surrey Docks, London

Tideway Sailability in conjunction with RYA Sailability Development Coach, Matt Grier will be running Access Class race training at Surry Docks on six days in Feb - March 2010.

The six training events are open to visitors.

Saturday 6th February 2010 Shore based

Sunday 7th February 2010 Race Training

Saturday 13th February 2010 Shore based

Sunday 14thth February 2010 Race Training

There will be one other weekend of training before 31st March - date yet to be fixed.

Tideway joins in with Surrey Docks Water Sports Centre every year in their Winter Racing Series. Access Sailors from other groups are welcome to come along and participate.  The racing is held every Sunday from now until 21 March. The race briefings will be at 10:30 (this may vary). It may be possible to loan a boat, depending on demand.

Access class race training at Swarkestone Sailability

Swarkestone Sailability in conjunction with RYA Sailability Development Coach, Matt Grier will be running Access Class race training at Swarkestone Sailability, The Gravel Pits, Ingleby Lane, Swarkestone, Derbyshire, DE73 1JB on Friday 16th April 2010.

Frensham Pond Sailability

Race coaching in conjunction with Traveller No 2 and 1st Southern TT  Wed 21st April 2010  Where a special race training is optional on Thurs 22nd April, see details below.

More Race Coaching (Open to Visitors) at Frensham Pond on 22 April
 
It has been arranged for a RYA Sailability Coach to attend the TT meeting at Frensham Pond on 21 April to observe and film the action.  There will then be a coaching session ashore, starting at 10.30 on the morning of Thursday, 22 April, to review the footage and pick up areas where skills need to be improved.  This will be followed by a session afloat to work on appropriate racing skills.
 
All visitors to the TT are invited to stay on for the sessions on the Thursday and learn what they did right or wrong and what they can improve.  If planning to attend, please inform FPS Access Class Captain, Peter Etherton peter_etherton@btinternet.com .
